Knockraich Farm Wedding | James and Megan

We’ve hit the thick of it now people! Bloggmageddon is upon us and I have another absolute belter for you. The venue of choice for this one, Knockraich Farm. A hidden gem sitting in the quaint little town of Fintry, Knockraich is a fantastic venue to host a good ol’ knees up wedding. You can get married outside surrounded by stunning views of the Campsies ( I think it’s the Campsies??) or you could choose to be married in the Stone Bothy which is an old pig shed (don’t worry, it’s super clean and lovely) then move next door to the Tin Shed where you can party the night away. I’m loving the barns these days. The big rows of tables and rustic vibes are gorgeous. It’s a venue I would love to return to soon.

James and Megan are 2 very lovely people. We met up for a coffee in Glasgow a few weeks before the wedding and I knew that the wedding was going to be close and intimate with Megan’s South African family members making the journey over for the wedding. As with most of my couples, they wanted to spend as much time with their friends and families as possible and so I decided to split up their photo sessions and grabbed them for a quick 10 minutes or so here and there. In the morning, the sun was splitting the trees but we knew rain was coming shortly after the ceremony so we had to work fast. The rain came and the Tin Sheds acoustics were on top form as the rain battered off the roof. It freshened up the air and cleared up shortly after dinner allowing everyone to go out and roast marshmallows over the fire pit and play lawn games.

They’re also a creative and clever bunch with Megan studying for her Phd (she’s now Dr Megan!) and she made her own wedding dress! James, also a clever clog App developer and he designed, coded and engineered their photobooth ! I was impressed!

This was an immensely enjoyable day with a lot of lovely people.

Here are their highlights.
