THE WHY
This person right here, is my late grandpa, Alex.
He was a handsome man. He’s in his 70’s here. He has a fantastic head of hair, he didn’t usually have a beard but he grew one for a short time. He looks happy, he is happy and he’s in the moment. It’s not a perfect photo by any means but, it’s my favourite picture of him. He sits in a frame, just above my desk in my office and I look at him every single day and smile. He reminds me to be happy, to be myself, work hard, and live a good, honest life surrounded by the things I love.
He is a constant reminder of the power of photography. That feeling comfortable in front of the camera is what delivers the best photos and the legacy and memories that photographs hold. This photo is what drives me to create photos for my couples that give them the same feeling when they look at their pictures, as I feel when I look at him.
I encourage my couples to plan their wedding with this comfort in mind. Weddings are a celebration of 2 people. It’s about coming together and having the people you want around you, it’s not about perfect lighting, it’s not about wedding cars and floral arches, it’s not even about the photos!!! (I said it!) All these things are important, however, enjoying your day, letting yourself go, and feeling comfortable is what matters most.
This is my why, let’s create some memories.
